Structural precast wall systems engineered in Amelia, Virginia
Insulated sandwich panels, engineered retaining walls, and solid structural wall panels — cast on-site in our 50,000 sqft plant and delivered across the Mid-Atlantic.
The Legacy Wall System
Legacy Wall Products is East Coast Precast's proprietary line of structural precast concrete wall systems. The line covers three primary configurations — insulated sandwich panels, retaining walls, and solid single-wythe panels — all cast in our Amelia, Virginia plant on the same steel forms and QC line.
Every Legacy Wall panel is engineered to project-specific loading. Shop drawings and structural calculations are stamped by a licensed Virginia Professional Engineer and coordinated with the project's engineer of record. Concrete is placed to a minimum 5,000 PSI design strength; reinforcing is detailed to the loading, exposure, and connection requirements of each individual project.
Legacy Walls are used across commercial, light industrial, agricultural, and custom residential projects — anywhere a wall assembly needs to be faster than cast-in-place, stronger than CMU, or more thermally efficient than either.
Three configurations
Each configuration solves a different envelope problem. Sandwich panels handle load and thermal envelope in one pour. Retaining walls solve earth pressure at grade transitions. Solid panels give you a structural concrete face where insulation isn't a factor.
Sandwich Panels
Three-layer insulated structural panels — concrete, rigid insulation, concrete — cast as a monolithic unit. Load-bearing plus thermal envelope in a single wall element.

General manufacturing parameters for the Legacy Wall product line. Project-specific dimensions, reinforcement, and finishes are adjusted during shop drawing coordination.
- Panel thicknesses: 6", 8", 10", and 12" standard (solid); 8"–16" total (sandwich).
- Panel heights: up to 40' single-piece; taller structures achieved via panel stacking or field splices.
- Panel widths: up to 12' typical; wider on request pending transport review.
- Concrete strength: 5,000 PSI minimum design strength; higher strengths available per specification.
- Reinforcement: two-mat rebar standard; welded wire reinforcement, prestressed strand, and specialty reinforcing per project engineering.
- Standard finishes: broom, smooth-form, exposed aggregate, sandblast, and form-liner textures.
- Integral color: available; sample panels produced on request.
- Connections: weld plates, embedded angles, threaded inserts, and lifting hardware detailed per erection plan.
Applications
Legacy Wall panels are specified where a project needs concrete performance without the schedule and site-labor cost of cast-in-place construction.
- Commercial building envelopes and tilt-up alternatives
- Warehouse, distribution, and manufacturing facility walls
- Light industrial and shop buildings
- Agricultural structures — grain, feed, and equipment storage
- Cold storage and refrigerated envelopes (sandwich panels)
- Security enclosures, utility yards, and site screening walls
- Cantilever and gravity retaining walls at grade transitions
- Custom architectural walls and site walls with form-liner texture
- Specialty structures — gun vaults, safe rooms, blast-resistant enclosures
