Engineering, fabrication, delivery, and installation — under one roof

East Coast Precast handles every stage of a precast project in-house or through directly managed partners.

Full-Scope Precast

One vendor, four stages, one point of contact

Most precast jobs move through four phases — engineering, manufacturing, delivery, and set. East Coast Precast runs all four out of Amelia, which keeps schedules tight and eliminates the coordination gaps that show up when three separate vendors are pointing fingers at each other.

Engineering & Shop Drawings

Detailing and structural coordination from concept to fabricator-ready drawings.

  • We coordinate with your project's structural engineer of record and architect during the design phase.
  • Detailing team produces stamped shop drawings and structural calculations for every panel schedule.
  • PE stamps available for VA, NC, MD, WV, DE, and DC.
  • Common coordination items: panel embed locations, connection detailing, window and door openings, MEP rough-ins cast into panels, hoist point calculations, temporary bracing plans.
  • Turnaround from complete design docs to fabricator-ready shop drawings: 2–4 weeks for standard projects.

Manufacturing

Two-bay indoor plant on 8 acres in Amelia — controlled batching, curing, and QC.

  • 50,000 sqft indoor production facility on 8 acres of yard space in Amelia, Virginia.
  • Standard concrete strength: 5,000 psi minimum, 6,000 psi mixes available on request.
  • Two casting bays running simultaneously for sandwich panel and solid panel production.
  • Reinforcement: rebar cages fabricated in-house, welded wire mesh for standard tolerances, prestressing tendons on select projects.
  • Curing: accelerated heat cure for schedule-critical projects, standard 28-day cure otherwise.
  • QC: batch tests on every mix, cylinder testing per ACI standards, panel dimension QC on every unit before shipping.

Delivery & Logistics

Company drivers, company trailers, and a single dispatcher who owns the ship-to-site handoff.

  • Fleet of flatbed and step-deck trailers with company-employed CDL drivers.
  • Standard hauling radius: 250 miles from Amelia (covers all of VA, DC, MD, DE, most of NC, southeastern WV).
  • Long-haul deliveries handled through vetted trucking partners.
  • Delivery coordination handled by our dispatcher — one point of contact from shipping to arrival.
  • We coordinate with your site super for crane requirements, staging, and set sequence.

Installation & Field Support

Erection crews and field engineering for wall systems, fence, and structural sets.

  • East Coast Precast provides erection crews for standard wall and fence installations, or coordinates with your erector.
  • Two-person crews with mobile cranes handle most StoneTree fence installations at 150–200 linear feet per day.
  • Larger structural erections coordinated with dedicated riggers.
  • Field engineering support: our detailer or a field engineer available on-site for complex sets, panel-to-panel adjustments, and connection welding oversight.
How It Works

Typical project timeline

A standard commercial or industrial precast project moves through these milestones. Timelines vary by scope, but the sequence stays the same.

Phase 01

Design review

Our detailing team reviews architectural and structural drawings, flags precast-feasibility items, and returns a scope sheet with panel schedule and budget pricing. 1–2 weeks.

Phase 02

Shop drawings

Once contracted, stamped shop drawings and structural calculations are issued for review. Coordination items — embeds, MEP rough-ins, openings — are locked at this stage. 2–4 weeks.

Phase 03

Fabrication

Panels are cast, cured, and QC'd in Amelia. Batch tests and cylinder breaks documented per ACI. Production schedule aligned to site readiness and set sequence.

Phase 04

Delivery & set

Panels shipped on our trailers on a load-and-set cadence agreed with the GC. East Coast Precast crews handle standard erections; structural sets coordinated with rigging partners.

Need a scope review or budget number?

Send drawings or a description of the project. Our detailing team will confirm whether precast is a fit and return a budget number for the panel package.
