Kevin Doyle Joins as Production Manager
East Coast Precast, LLC is pleased to announce that Kevin Doyle has joined the Amelia plant as Production Manager, effective February 1. Doyle takes over daily production floor leadership across the two casting bay operations and reports directly to owner and estimating lead John Cotton.
Background
Doyle brings eighteen years of precast production experience to East Coast Precast. He spent the last eleven years at Metromont Corporation — six as a lead form foreman on the architectural line at the Richmond, Virginia plant, and five as a Bay Supervisor on the structural side at the same facility. Before Metromont he worked three years for Rotondo Weirich Enterprises and four years for Nitterhouse Concrete Products in south-central Pennsylvania.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Virginia Commonwealth University, completed in 2005. He is a Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) Level II certified quality control technician and holds the OSHA 30-hour Construction certification.
Responsibilities
Doyle’s role at East Coast Precast covers the day-to-day operational leadership of the plant:
- Production scheduling. Sequencing casting bay work against committed delivery dates and coordinating with dispatch on load-out schedules.
- Batch plant coordination. Working with the batch plant operator on mix design changes, cement and aggregate inventory, and quality testing on placed concrete.
- QC oversight. Reviewing test cylinder results, managing the plant’s ongoing PCI certification, and closing out any nonconformance reports before panels move to the yard.
- Crew supervision. Direct supervision of the two casting bay foremen, the finishing crew lead, and the yard lead. He also owns pre-shift toolbox meetings and monthly safety walk rotations.

“Kevin is exactly the kind of hire this plant needed at this stage,” said John Cotton. “He knows structural precast from the form up, he has run bays at scale, and he understands what it takes to hit committed dates without cutting corners on quality or safety. We were fortunate that his career trajectory pointed home to central Virginia.”
Personal
Doyle grew up in Powhatan County and lives in Chesterfield County with his wife and two school-age children. Outside of work he coaches youth baseball with the Chesterfield Baseball Club and holds a private pilot certificate. Colleagues can reach him at kevin.doyle@eastcoastprecast.com.
